10am for teams

Privacy Policy

Last updated · September 23, 2026

10am runs on light and sound, not your data. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Looking for the 10am personal app, with its optional telemetry and biometric features? See its privacy policy and terms.

The short version

  • 10am plays quiet sound and draws a faint visual layer on one display.
  • It does not read your screen, keystrokes, mouse, camera, microphone, files, or messages.
  • It does not ask for accessibility permission or control other apps.
  • We never give your employer data about how any one person uses 10am.
  • We don’t sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Who this covers

This policy is from Halotropic, Inc. (“10am,” “we,” “us”). It covers:

  • People who use 10am through their organization. An employer or other organization (the “Customer”) installs 10am on computers it approves.
  • Visitors to go10am.com and people who book a call or write to us.
  • Business contacts we talk to about 10am.

For the 10am app, we act on the Customer’s behalf, as its service provider or processor. The Customer’s agreement with us governs that data, and this policy describes how we handle it. For the website and business contacts, we decide how the data is used.

What the app never collects

10am for teams is built without sensing features. It does not collect, record, or send:

  • Anything on your screen. 10am draws on the screen. It never reads or records it.
  • Keystrokes, mouse movement, or any other input or activity tracking.
  • Camera images or eye tracking.
  • Microphone audio.
  • The names of apps or windows you use, websites you visit, or your files, messages, email, or calendar.
  • Your work data or work output of any kind.

It does not ask for accessibility permission. It does not control other apps. It does not appear in screen shares, recordings, or calls.

What the app does use

To run, stay up to date, and be counted against your organization’s seats, the app uses a small amount of data.

Settings, stored on your computer

Your schedule, sound level, visual intensity, and similar preferences stay on your computer.

Installation and seat data

A random installation ID, the app version, the operating system version, the organization the seat belongs to, and whether the seat is active. If your organization sets 10am up with individual sign-in, we also hold the name and work email used to sign in.

Product usage

When 10am starts and stops, which mode runs, changes to settings, and errors. We tie this to the installation ID, not to your name. We use it to keep 10am working and to improve it.

Update checks

The app checks for new versions. Like any network request, this sends your IP address and the app version.

Feedback and support

If you choose to answer a question in the app or write to us, we receive what you send.

What your employer sees

We do not give the Customer information about any individual’s use of 10am. That includes when you use it, which modes you run, your settings, and any feedback you send.

We may share totals that don’t identify anyone, such as the number of active seats, for billing and support.

During a pilot, the Customer measures results with a number it already tracks, from its own systems. We never receive that work data.

You can contact us directly and privately at privacy@go10am.com. We will not tell your employer that you did.

The Customer controls its own computers. Its IT team may be able to see which software is installed on them, as with any app.

This website and business contacts

What you give us

When you book a call, email us, or talk to us about a pilot, we receive your name, work email, company, role, and what you tell us.

What the website records

Our host keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. These pages set no cookies. They use no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics.

Business contact information

We may use publicly available business information, such as your name, title, employer, and work email, to contact you about 10am. You can ask us to stop at any time, and we will.

How we use data

  • To provide, support, secure, and update 10am.
  • To manage seats, billing, and our agreement with the Customer.
  • To improve 10am, using usage data that isn’t tied to a name.
  • To answer questions, schedule calls, and run pilots.
  • To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We don’t sell personal information. We don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t use it to train third-party AI models.

Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on our contract with the Customer, our legitimate interest in running and improving 10am and our business, and our legal obligations.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run 10am. Each may process data only to provide its service to us.

ProviderWhat for
Google Cloud / FirebaseApp backend: seats, sign-in if used, and product usage storage
DigitalOceanDelivering app updates
PostHogProduct usage analytics, tied to installation IDs
VercelWebsite hosting
CalendlyScheduling calls
Google WorkspaceEmail and documents
StripeInvoicing and payments

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, subject to this policy. Customers can ask for a current list of providers or a data processing agreement.

How long we keep it

  • App data: for as long as the Customer’s agreement runs. We delete it, or strip it of anything that identifies an installation, within 90 days after the agreement ends, unless the Customer asks otherwise or the law requires us to keep it.
  • Settings on your computer: until the app is removed.
  • Website logs: for as long as our host keeps them, typically no more than 30 days.
  • Business contacts: until you ask us to stop, or until the information is no longer useful to us.

Security

Installers are signed for Mac and Windows. Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. Because 10am doesn’t collect the content of anyone’s work, there is far less to protect in the first place.

IT and security teams can ask for our security and permissions details at security@go10am.com.

Your choices and rights

You can lower or turn off the sound and the visual layer at any time. If your organization lets you, you can uninstall 10am.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to or limit some uses of it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and we will not treat you differently for using them.

If you use 10am through your organization, you can send requests to the organization or to us. We will work with the organization to answer. For anything else, email privacy@go10am.com. We may need to confirm who you are first.

10am is a workplace product. It is not meant for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Where data is stored

We are based in the United States, and we store and process data there. For Customers outside the United States, we offer a data processing agreement with standard contractual clauses for transfers.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell Customers before it takes effect.
